    TRANSPARENT AND ABSORBING NOISE PROTECTION FOR RAIL TRAFFIC

    TAP-RAIL is a modular frame system and tested for the use on railroad lines. Thanks to highly developed technology it combines transparent noise protection with integrated absorbing elements. And thus creates new perspectives. It is now possible to use transparent materials where absorption is required. On the one hand, this creates the kind of visual freedom that travelers like to enjoy, while on the other hand, cultural monuments, cityscapes, and unique landscapes retain their valuable signal effect. A wide range of possible combinations of different noise protection elements additionally offers an interesting variety of designs for noise barriers. The absorption values (EN 1793-1) are 4 dB and can be increased to 8 dB for the overall system by adding a highly absorbent base or by combining with highly absorbent aluminum noise protection elements.

      Structure

      Highly active absorber elements are integrated into the frame construction and the center bar. This creates a harmonious frame system, which can be colored as desired. The modular elements can be easily stacked on top of each other (2.0 / 2.5 / 5.0 m), yet the horizontal character is maintained by the transparent acrylic glass panels. The clear structure of the elements conveys a pleasant appearance to the road user and at the same time provides maximum sound insulation.
